(Set during my roleplay sample)
Set 1 Day After Resurrection
Salty but always tasty, Sea-Salt ice cream was a staple of twilight town and always brought a small smile to Roxas' face; that, and brain freeze. It was really surprising just how many emotions one little bar of dessert could bring. Those same emotions led to a plethora of memories. Some of those, led to things he could remember. While others led to a vast nothingness that left an itch upon his very soul.
Sitting atop the tallest tower in twilight town, he watched as the colorful oranges and yellows of the sun slowly departed beneath the horizon. Soon, he knew, perhaps not from experience, that night would never fully come. Sure, there would be a time when those of the town way, way below, would rest. However, that rest would not be totally eclipsed by darkness. As it was in this place, ever twilight.
There's a sight, he thought; it was funny, but no matter how often he gazed upon it, he could never quite get enough. Cupping his hands together and thereafter parting them slightly just in front of his eyes, he let a few stray rays in. He blinked once, twice and then let his hands fall back loosely at his sides.
The cloak he wore ruffled in a breeze that spurred up. Some of the residual ice and cream sat beside him in a small puddle around its stick. He recalled those whom used to sit beside him and their images appeared as ethereal ghosts of their former selves. They were laughing, but mostly smiling at him.
“Will you leave again...” He muttered and looked down; all the way down as the hustle in the streets died away and the town became silent for the eve.

3 Days after Resurrection
Xion was wandering the same path she had taken before in this sleepy town. Something was telling her this was the way to go. The sun was setting, but then again, did it ever fully set?
Somehow, she didn't think it did. Only one day here had brought back memories, but of what, she wasn't entirely sure. 2 days had been spent wandering around this beautiful place, simply because it meant something. Something significant. She had found the local ice-cream to be wonderful. It may be a bit salty, but she loved it. It brought back a sense of happiness, if that's what a Nobody could call it.
A sense, not the actual emotion. It was hard to tell the difference sometimes, though.
She walked up the road to the Clock Tower near the Station, and paid for a stick of ice-cream. She headed for her current favorite spot to watch the sunset~the top of the Tower. When she got there, she was surprised to see a person sitting in her spot. Well, maybe not exactly in her spot. After all, any space could be someone's here. Something about the person, the seat they had taken beside her spot, seemed familiar..it was on the tip of her tongue. Even so, she walked over to the person slowly, cautiously, keeping her hood pulled up over her head.
"Who are you? Why are you here?"

" 'Ya know, I could ask the same," the youth replied. Unlike like his cohort, he in fact did not hide beneath his hood. Perhaps sitting atop a tower, rather than walking the streets below, gave him a false sense of security. Regardless of that fact, their matching colors suggested that they were allies. Strange that he did not entirely recognize the voice that emitted from shadow. It was filtered as if it came across a great distance, or through running water.
As the breeze picked up again, its gales cut through and ruffled his spiky, blonde hair. Across the way, past several buildings, street corners and alleyways; a forest beckoned and its autumn leafs fell about. In the clearing, the boy knew of the mansion, where he once became whole. To be apart again was not something he ever expected. Sora's memories of this place were here, and yet he was not. Together they formed with the keyblader's own and swirled about in a dizzying array of conflict.
Along with the wind, he sighed; and although he had not turned towards her, He observed her hooded presence closely out of the corners of his eyes. "Do you know me?" He asked, albeit suddenly after a few seconds of prolonged silence. What he really wanted to ask though was: do I know you...Instead he settled for what he could manage, or rather what he thought he could handle. Much of this was so new, so foreign; he actually had gotten used to tailing along with brownie all the time. To think on it now, he felt like a stranger, even to himself.

Xion looked at the boy who was sitting beside her spot. Without his hood on, he was very familiar. But she couldn't quite place his name. He wore the Organization's coat, though, so he had to be someone in the group. She tilted her head, looking at him thoughtfully. Something urged her to pull off her hood, and she did so, feeling as though she had done this scene before in a similar way.
"I'm Xion..number XIV of the Organization..and you are?" She watched him, biting her lip out of habit. Whenever she couldn't quite remember something, it would bug her until she suddenly remembered...

Memories were tricky affairs; some were real, others that Roxas wished to be real, were not; and still others more, were capable of shattering the very fabric of reality. As he looked upon her, his head swiveling ever the slightest and his eyes meeting hers, a wave of emotion and those memories overtook him. All at once it was as if the girl whom was obviously standing in front of him, could not possibly be standing there; she was a part of him.
Reluctantly, he reached out a hand towards her. "A-are you real?" A strange question to ask someone standing so close perhaps, but it had to be asked. It was one thing for him to be apart from Sora, however if he recalled correctly, Xion was made from his and Sora's own fragmented memories and could not coexist with them no more than two of the same beings from alternate realities could. This...how could any of this be possible. If he remembered, then, the Organization remembered her existence as well.
"I'm sorry," he suddenly continued, lowering his outstretched hand quickly. "I-I forgot you..." The truth of it was, they all did. However, this was as good of a chance as any, as good of a chance for a new beginning as he would ever get. "Number XIII of the Organization, Roxas," he finally greeted her properly.

Xion stared, pieces of memories suddenly clicking into place, like a puzzle with pieces that hadn't seemed to fit before. Him. It was him...Roxas... "Roxas..?" She walked closer, eyes wide. She remembered. Or part of it, at least. She remembered him now. And...Axel. That was his name. They were..friends. How odd it sounded, and yet, it seemed right. Familiar, true. Something that could be possible.
She slowly sat down, and then hugged him. She wasn't exactly sure why, except that she needed to know he was real. She needed to know she wasn't just dreaming, or lost in someone else's memories like before. "Roxas...!" She didn't quite understand what was going on, but Roxas was here, and things were starting to fit together again.

Her touch was unexpected, but welcome. Even though Roxas was not quite sure how to react. She remembered, as he did, or at least in some manner of speaking. However, just how deep did that knowing go; was she aware of what she was? Perhaps, it was best not to know the answer to that question. They had coexisted before; he remembered that now, and for awhile, why should anything else more confusing matter?
It had been only a day since he was brought back.
As awkward of a transition as it was, to go from veiled suspicion, to a sitting hug, he accepted in the best way he could. He shifted his body slightly to the right, turning towards her and then wrapped his arms around her back. For a few moments he held contact, but any longer than that and it would have began to feel weird. Hugging a part of myself, he thought ironically. Then he smiled, while lowering his arms and releasing her from an embrace.
For a moment or two, he just looked at the girl, whom was now beside him. In a way he knew she was meant to be there, as his friend. However, another part of him knew that she shouldn't be there, despite how much he wanted her to exist. He wanted to sigh, but did not want to discourage her and instead he turned away from her and looked back out towards the horizon.
The sun of course, was locked; ever in twilight.

Xion smiled, relieved at the solidity of Roxas's return hug. She simply stayed like that for a moment, then sat up when he let go. She looked at him, her eyes bright and slightly burning, almost as if with tears. But that was ridiculous, wasn't it? She wasn't sure if Nobodys could cry.
She sensed he was unhappy about something, but she wasn't sure whether to ask him about it or not. Instead, she decided to ask a different question of him, hoping he would have the answer.
"Roxas, what are we doing here? I remember fighting with you..I remember dying. How then is it possible that I am here? Or that you are here?"

Those were the questions that Roxas wished he could answer ever so desperately. However, he could no more explain why than he could explain their situation. It was as if reality was questioning what was real within its domain. They were here; and that was real enough to him, yet the memories too reminded him of a possible future that could lay ahead. In all honesty, he was scared; scared of the reason behind his own existence, behind her existence.
"That's not the strangest part...I-I remember killing Xemnas; rather Sora did." He replied, perhaps weary from his own struggle. He held a hand up to his forehead and leaned upon it. Since he had been brought back, there was little that he understood. Organization XIII, had been dissolved and its members killed; and he had merged with Brownie. Still, he was here and Sora was not. Among others, Xion had returned as well. Whomever or whatever was rebuilding what ought not to be, had a purpose behind its efforts. That purpose was the key.
"We'll have to take it easy for awhile, Xion. I don't know why we were brought back. But I know that we aren't the only ones that shouldn't be..." To explain would have been to open up part of her own fragmented memories; memories contained within her, and himself in addition to Sora. Any further that line he was avoiding could be crossed. If she was not aware, then he would not be the one to tell her.
Removing his hand, he looked over to her, and laughed. "Your ice cream's melting," he said, noting the drips and drops of it upon her cloak. His had already been finished in the minutes prior to her arrival. However, he was not beyond enjoying a few more moments as she ate her own.

Xion looked down in surprise. "Oh! I almost forgot." She laughed, and licked the ice cream stick before it could drip any more. She shook the melted ice cream off her glove, and looked at Roxas.
"Roxas, If Xemnas was dead, and everyone was gone, I wonder what..or who..is causing things to be re-done? I remember dying. And you..I think you were crying..?" She was puzzled at how she was remembering that..was it the last thing she saw as she died? The thought was a little odd.
She sat in silence for a moment, eating her ice cream. Suddenly, another thought hit her. "Roxas..is Axel here? Is he..you know..back?" She didn't remember much after she had provoked him into fighting her outside the Old Mansion in the hopes he could defeat her. She hoped she hadn't hurt him..

There was a flush of red that appeared across Roxas' face. 'Twas a true fact that he had cried, although until recently he had forgotten the reason behind his tears. Nobody's couldn't feel emotion he was told; and yet he could feel it swelling up and building inside him until a critical breaking point. She had died in his arms and he knew now that was the reason behind them; the tears.
"I have not seen him," he replied. "But, like the others, I'm sure he's back..." Hesitation behind his voice noted the untimely death of his once best friend. Sora, he thought...it was at that moment I was unleashed from your inner self.
They had fought then; atop the skyscraper of memories and into the station of eternity.
" 'Ya know, I wasn't alone...I mean after you...were gone." He managed to shy away from a conflict he had yet to resolve. Axel was once a dear friend, but there was no telling how'd he react now; now that his other had been his undoing.
Titling his head, he pretended to look below into the streets. Upon them, memories of rushing about with three friends returned. Hayner, Pence, Oletee; the names almost rolled off his tongue. He wondered what they were up to now. Was it still summer? However, even in pleasant memories there was something to be sad about. His friends, the ones that remembered him, only existed in the digital recreation of Twilight Town.

Xion watched Roxas silently for a moment, wondering what he was remembering. It seemed like happy thoughts, but then sad. She reached out, and put a hand on his shoulder lightly. "Roxas, what did you mean you weren't alone?" His words had made her curious. She didn't remember much after rejoining with Sora, releasing his memories back to him. What she was beginning to remember felt odd, as if it hadn't been her life. She knew it had been. Pieces were falling back into place. She sighed with something that could be classified as relief.
