The Basics
Name: Roxas
Age: Appears to be in his late teens.
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Race: Nobody
Weapon of Choice: Unlike his other self Sora, Roxas utilizes two keyblades in combat. A dual-wielding style that is both more aggressive and less defensive than the traditional lone keyblade art. His keyblades are Oathkeeper, an all white angel styled blade with white wings on either side of grip and a gold and red star as its keychain; and Oblivion an all black bat styled blade with black wings on either side of its grip and a black crown as its keychain.
Abilities:
- Dual-Keyblade Wielder
The part of himself that once was Xion (and still is), first granted him the ability to wield two keyblades at once. It was a crucial moment in which the true nature of the organization was revealed, and the moment in which two parts of a whole being merged together. Although that part of himself is now separate once again, the lingering memory of the girl with short black hair and a bright smile when she ate ice cream atop the tallest building in Twilight Town, gives him strength enough to fight. With Oathkeeper and Oblivion he tears a path through his opponents in a vicious, unrelenting style of combat; which in turn trades in defensive capabilities for offensive power and maneuverability. - Event Horizon
Event Horizon represents the distance in which light can no longer escape from a black hole. In a devastating display of speed, Roxas darts around the battle field with his keyblades enveloped in a great light and slashes at any foe within his reach. A technique that is used when Roxas is pushed to his limit and thus drains him of a considerable amount of energy. - Magic Hour
Converse to Event Horizon, Magic Hour is exactly how it sounds. Rather, it involves a great extension of magic to pull off. When pushed past his limits, Roxas will float above his foe(s) and twirl his paired keyblades rapidly. On the ground below him a symbol forms and homing orbs of light fire from his blades. Needless to say, each orb of light is a physical manifestation of his magical energy and as such, the longer he performs this technique the more drained he becomes.
Appearance
Height: Around five feet five inches
Weight: Around 120 to 125 lbs.
General Appearance:
As a part of Sora and conjointly a part of Ventus, Roxas greatly resembles both of them. His facial and body structure is aligned with theirs and his bright blue eyes holds a piece of each of their souls within them. His spiky hair would make it rather easy for a person to mix up him and Sora were it not blond and hidden beneath a black hood of organization XIII. Unfortunately, he looks nearly identical to Ventus, due to the fact that the keyblade apprentice's heart was within Sora's at the time of Roxas' birth.
The members of the recently reborn Organization XIII typically wear quite similar attire and as such, Roxas dons an all black cloak with only a few slight differences from his nobody counterparts. For instance, he never tucks the legs of his pants into his boots and his pants are more baggy and casual looking as opposed to a more formal representation of the organization’s uniform. And unlike Axel he is a bit more defensive around strangers; thus when he is around people he does not know or trust, he keeps the hood of his cloak up.
Personality
Likes: Sea-Salt Ice Cream, Twilight hours of the day, Axel, Xion, the Stars, and Twilight Town
Dislikes: Authority, Several Organization Members, Not having a purpose, and being alone.
General Personality:
Unlike most nobodies, Roxas holds true emotions. Being the other half of Sora and being created from the heart of Ventus, he is similar to them in some ways; but in other ways he is completely different. He can be short-tempered or impulsive, aggressive and at other times completely loyal to his friends and allies. That said, his granted abilities have made him over-confident; even arrogant to the point of recklessness. Showing this through a mix of rebellion against authority and his extremely independent nature, he has acted out many times against his would-be superiors and has questioned his place among them often.
Learning the truth about who and what he is hadn't been easy and when he does not have to hold up appearances for members of his organization or his so-called friends, he is ironically melancholy and stoic; solemn and distracted, especially during times of great confusion or stress. The fact that he has emotions isolates him from his would-be kin and leaves much to fester within his core.
Homeworld: Twilight Town
Current World: The World that Never Was
History:
Roxas was born when Sora stabbed himself with the Keyblade of People's Hearts in order to set Kairi's heart free at the cost of his own inner self. A nobody, specifically Sora and Ventus' nobody was created. Dividing heart and soul with a keyblade separates into separate but equal parts. Thus, since Sora had not only the heart of Kairi within himself, but Ventus as well, Roxas was born with emotions unlike many of his counterparts in Organization XIII. This isolated him, but also drew others close to him. Namely Axel and later Xion created from the fragments of memories. First though, there was Xemnas the leader of organization XII whom sought him out after he was brought into existence in Twilight Town.
Roxas became the Organization’s XIII member. He joined to find answers about himself; about who he was and what his purpose was. His status as Sora's nobody granted him the unique ability to wield the kingdom key and he became an asset of power that the organization had to have. On the fifth day of his time spent within the organization, Xemnas put him under Axel's care and he soon developed a friendship with the fiery haired nobody. They often visited Twilight Town together, and ate sea-salt ice cream. After the coma incident, Xion a newer member of the organization joined them in that affair.
Happy times like those were short lived, because there were side-affects to Sora's restoration process. Roxas began to question why he could wield the keyblade and why for that matter another like him, Xion could wield it. Despite his best efforts to spend time with his two friends, missions to other worlds took up his time and spawned memories of his other self Sora that muddled his outlook of the organization. Soon those memories became burning questions to the true motives of the organization and after “forgetting” Xion, he storms off to leave in search of answers.
Axel attempts to stop him and warns him that if he should leave, the organization would destroy him. However, Roxas was too far enveloped by Sora's memories and by his own desire for answers to care. Besides, “No one would miss me...” he replied and thereafter went on his way. Monitoring this from afar, Ansem the Wise took this opportunity to imprison Roxas within a digital recreation of Twilight Town. That way when Sora was ready to awaken the nobody would merge with him. DiZ a disguised Ansem, sent Riku to dispatch the former organization member and after releasing his inner darkness, he did just that (minus the whole elimination).
While in the digitized Twilight Town, Roxas lost all memories of whom he once was and what he was. He became friends with Hayner, Pence and Olette; the three kids he often saw on his trips to the real twilight town. It was here, until the time of Sora's awakening that he spent out his days. He met Axel a few more times, and fought him within the mansion. Of course, without his memories he did not know exactly whom the nobody was. When Axel realized he could not bring Roxas back to organization XIII, he faked his death and allowed Roxas to form again and become whole with Sora. Although merged, his lingering memory within Sora comes forth in climax on the World that Never Was. Emerging from the shadows two Samurai nobodies block Donald and Goofy and leave Sora to face a hooded Roxas.
After Roxas summons his keyblades, the two of them are transported to the Station of Serenity. It is there that they fought until the end. An end in which Roxas is defeated and declares that Sora makes for quite a good other self. When Sora is returned to his friends, he asks about the hooded keyblade wielder. However it would seem neither of them saw Roxas and instead saw Sora simply vanish. The fight had taken place in still time within their consciousnesses. The two of them meet one final time and become whole. As a whole being, they defeat Xemnas and Roxas is able to meet Namine one final time on their return to Destiny Islands...
Role Play Sample
Salty but always tasty, Sea-Salt ice cream was a staple of twilight town and always brought a small smile to Roxas' face; that, and brain freeze. It was really surprising just how many emotions one little bar of dessert could bring. Those same emotions led to a plethora of memories. Some of those, led to things he could remember. While others led to a vast nothingness that left an itch upon his very soul.
Sitting atop the tallest tower in twilight town, he watched as the colorful oranges and yellows of the sun slowly departed beneath the horizon. Soon, he knew, perhaps not from experience, that night would never fully come. Sure, there would be a time when those of the town way, way below, would rest. However, that rest would not be totally eclipsed by darkness. As it was in this place, ever twilight.
There's a sight, he thought; it was funny, but no matter how often he gazed upon it, he could never quite get enough. Cupping his hands together and thereafter parting them slightly just in front of his eyes, he let a few stray rays in. He blinked once, twice and then let his hands fall back loosely at his sides.
The cloak he wore ruffled in a breeze that spurred up. Some of the residual ice and cream sat beside him in a small puddle around its stick. He recalled those whom used to sit beside him and their images appeared as ethereal ghosts of their former selves. They were laughing, but mostly smiling at him.
“Will you leave again...” He muttered and looked down; all the way down as the hustle in the streets died away and the town became silent for the eve.
