Braska must destroy Sin, only by using the Final Aeon bestowed by Lady Yunalesca, but one of the two, Auron or Jecht, must sacrifice themselves to become it. Auron does not like this idea, because he knows Sin will just return once again, and the sacrifice will be useless. Jecht asks Auron to find a way back to Zanarkand to take care of Tidus. Both Braska and Jecht lose their lives to defeating Sin. Auron comes back, and tries attacking Yunalesca in a rage that the fact that Jecht and Braska were killed for nothing. He attacks her, but she strikes him down, scarring his right eye, and blinding it at the same time. Auron, badly injured, flees down Mt. Gagazet. On his way down, he stumbles and falls down the mountain. He is found by Kimarhi Ronso. Dying, he asks Kimarhi to protect Braksa's daughter Yuna, and take her to Besaid. Auron dies, but because he has strong connections to the world, he remains there as an Unsent.
Later on he meets with Tidus in Zanarkand, Sin comes and destroys the whole city. They both eventually end up meeting with Yuna and the rest of her crew, on thier way to defeat Sin. The finally do defeat Sin, but at the end of it, Yuna performs a final sending, which causes Auron's spirit to be sent to the Farplanes. Since then, he had continued thinking and thinking about the real world. Until one day he finally had enough spiritual energy, that he was revived, once again as an Unsent. He currently resided in Twilight Town, a place of mistery to him, yet a place of wonder.
Role Play Sample
Auron walked along the the dirt of the town, his right arm in his sleeve, his right hand dangling freely by his side. His jug of sake also swayed with him as he walked. It was just mid-day and the sun was begining to dim, leaving a reddish tint to the sky. He thought of how it used to be. How he fought the monsters alongside Tidus and the others. But those were different days. He was now stuck, dreaming in the Farplanes, remembering what yesteryears had brought him. He missed being able to slam his blade into the shoulders of evil, and cutting them down bit by bit. He was just a wandering spirit now. Only if he could go back in time, and run when he had the chance, he would not have been effected by the sending Yuna had performed. But if he wouldnt of done that, the Spira, Bevelle, and other towns would have been destroyed, and he would of regretted all the lives he let fall.
He continued walking, remembering a brief time when he had faught a fiend. He remembered leaping at the beast, his blade hanging from his right hand. He remembered slipping his left hand slipping from his "sling" and gripping the blade, exerting force as it fell into the fiends shoulder. He remembered the blood dripping, as the flesh began to fall from the cut, the body dismembering in two. He sighed, it was sigh of regret and happiness. He regretted all the things he had done in the past, and wish he could change some them. But he was happy because now he could rest without pain and misery, and in his conscience he knew that he had saved people, and had stopped Sin. This he was proud of. He still worried about Tidus and the others. But they were just a memory now. All he could do was wander along this imaginary dirt path, a lost spirit in the Farplanes.
